Summary
David sends a delegation to the son of Nahash, the Ammonite king, who had passed away. The delegation is shamed, leading to an escalation of tensions between David and Hanun, resulting in a war with the Israelites, Arameans and Ammonites. Despite feeling rejected and forsaken, David overcomes with God's help. Psalm 20 is a proclamation of trust in God's protection and provision.
