King David gives instructions to the people of Israel, and specifically to his son, Solomon, who is going to be the new king, encouraging faithfulness to God above all. With strong admonition about how to approach the work. Solomon will be established as the King of Israel, and we will read how God asked Solomon what he wanted. Solomon did not ask for the things most men would ask for (money, wealth, fame, long life, etc). His request really pleased God, so he gave him what he asked for in abundance— and a lot of other things as well. Read along and see what God promised him.130
