Benji Backer: Natural gas and nuclear are the future of clean energy

American Conservation Coalition Founder and Chairman Benji Backer encourages Republicans to embrace clean energy sources. “You look at the states that are reducing emissions the most, it’s the states that are able to pair nuclear with natural gas and occasionally hydropower and renewables. It’s going to be a mix and by removing nuclear and natural gas from the conversation, the left is not taking this issue seriously,” he says.
