It’s being reported Peter Jackson will be returning to Middle Earth for a new live action Lord of the Rings movie titled The Hunt for Gollum.

Peter Jackson will be writing the movie along with previous Lord of the Rings collaborators Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens. Andy Serkis will star as the titular Gollum as well as direct the movie. Andy Serkis has previously worked as the 2nd unit director in The Hobbit films as well as directed a number of movies himself. Plot details are still unknown, but it will likely follow the appendices of The Lord of the Rings.
