The Hajj according to Islam pre-existed Muhammad and was carried out by pagans including Muhammad, and is something he continued during his work and life repeatedly doing annually, until he was prevented from doing so. Now the rule is that you must go once in a lifetime, OR you can send someone else in your place 'UMRA. Today we also discuss what shariah states about the 'Umrah, and what is permitted and not permitted during the pilgrimage.
