On January 23rd 2024, the Canadian Federal Court ruled that the federal government’s decision to invoke the Act in early 2022 to clear convoy protesters was unreasonable and led to an infringement of Charter rights. Freedom Convoy representatives Derek Noonan and Chris Dacey held a news conference on Parliament Hill to comment on the Federal Court ruling.
