SDOA Chapt.4- Ancient Greeks Invented Debt!
Secret Destiny of America chapter 4: The First Election of Law Makers
Ancient Greeks invented the concepts of debt, interest rates, fair taxation, and loans. Solon of Athens was the first fair statesman that caused trouble in the democracy of ancient Greece. What was his crime? Coming up with a concept of fair taxation and the concepts of the tax bracket that created the upper-, middle-, and lower-class tax bracket system, where everyone would pay a set rate, instead of the rich inflating the rates of rented ownerships of farmlands by the lower and middle classes. The system of before Solon's ideals, would leave the wealthy landowners to tax the not so wealthy land renters however they like and if the renters couldn't pay the landowner their rent, they then became a slave. Solon rectified this until he was forced to retire from the statesmanship.
