Ukraine hit by 'massive' attack on energy grid BBC News

Ukrainian energy infrastructure has been targetedovernight in a "massive" overnight Russian missile anddrone attack, President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

According to Kyiv officials, serious damage has beencaused to three Soviet-era power plants.

The air force said it shot down 39 of 55 missiles and20 out of 21 attack drones used in the attack, but thedamage caused has placed pressure on Ukraine'senergy system, with rolling blackouts having to beimposed on several regions across the country.
