Scripture: Genesis 1:14-19
Additional Scripture:
* Psalm 136:7-9: "To Him who made great lights, For His mercy endures forever — The sun to rule by day, For His mercy endures forever; The moon and stars to rule by night, For His mercy endures forever."
* Psalm 74:16: "The day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You have prepared the light and the sun."
* Description: The creation of the sun, moon, and stars to govern day and night and mark seasons, days, and years is a celestial symphony. The song marvels at the orchestration of the cosmos. A lamb looking towards the celestial bodies symbolizes guidance and the governance of the greater Light over all creation.
Scripture: Genesis 1:14-19
14And Alahim said, “Let lights come to be in the space of the shamayim to separate the yom from the lailah, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for yomim [days] and years, 15and let them be for lights in the space of the shamayim to give light on the arets.” And it came to be so. 16And Alahim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the yom, and the lesser light to rule the lailah, and also the stars. 17And Alahim set them in the space of the shamayim to give light on the arets, 18and to rule over the yom and over the lailah, and to separate the light from the darkness. And Alahim saw that it was good. 19And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the 4th yom.
