Boy Scouts of America announces rebrand to ‘Scouting America’

In an effort to underscore its commitment to inclusivity, the Boy Scouts of America announced plans to change its name to Scouting America starting February 8, 2025, coinciding with its 115th anniversary.

The organization aims to foster a welcoming environment for all, including boys and girls, while upholding its core mission of preparing youth for life’s challenges.

This move follows the inclusion of girls in both the Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA programs in recent years.

Currently, over 1 million youth are enrolled, including more than 176,000 girls and young women, with thousands of them achieving the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, CNN reported.
