Macron seeks trade concessions from China's Xi

French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping to the Pyrenees mountains on Tuesday (May 7), seeking to charm Xi into trade concessions between the two countries. It marked the second day of a trip during which Xi showed little sign of being ready to offer major agreemets on trade or foreign policy.
