Surah Muhammad

Surah Muhammad (Arabic: محمد‎) is the 47th sura of the Holy Qur'an, with 38 verses and 4 verses. Surah Muhammad was revealed in Medina
The name of this surah is derived from the phrase وَامَنُوا بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ according to the part مُحَمَّدٍ in verse 2 of this surah; That is, the surah that contains the word Muhammad ('Muhammad') is the surah.

Another name of this Surah is 'Kital'. This name is taken from the word mentioned in verse 20. Moreover, there is a detailed discussion about 'Kital' in the surah.
