We met Jonathon while walking through the Tenderloin in San Francisco while shooting Dregs of the City: San Francisco, a SIX SEVEN documentary that covers homelessness around the city of San Francisco. Jonathon was very bright and attuned to his surroundings, and we hope that he has found his way out since speaking to him back in September.

San Francisco has seen a steep decline in the last few years, especially so in Downtown San Francisco, the Tenderloin and some other surrounding areas. Tech jobs have left the area and left downtown in somewhat of a desolate state. Jonathon talks about the mentality of the homeless in San Fran from his perspective.

Behind Jonathon is a motel in the heart of the Tenderloin where some homeless people now inhabit. Updates to come about this.
