GRATEFUL - USTADZ HANAN ATTAQI | Short Lecture | 1 minute lecture

Being grateful is a form of our piety towards Allah swt and will be given additional favors when we are grateful, as in Al-Quran surah Ibrahim verse 7

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says:

وَاِذْ تَاَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَىِٕنْ شَكْرتُمْ لَاَزِيْدَنَّكُمْ وَلَىِٕنْ كَفْتُمْ انَّ عَذَابِيْ لَشَدِيْدٌ

"And (remember) when your Lord declared, "Indeed if you are grateful, I will increase (favors) to you, but if you deny (My favors), then surely My punishment will be very severe."
QS. Abraham[14]:7

Imam Muslim narrated in his Sahih book, a hadith from the companion of Uqbah bin 'Amr bin Tsa'labah radhiallahu'anhu, that the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

من دَلَّ على خيرٍ فله مسلُ اجرِ فعالِه

"Whoever points to goodness then he will get a reward like the reward of the person who does it" (HR. Muslim no. 1893).
