First start of our motor! Almost ready to race…

I’ve been working hard to get ready for our 2024 racing season! This week we prepare our 350 crate (602 crate) motor to fire up for the first time this season after being put into hibernation after last season. We set valves, prime the motor to get oil into all the critical areas, install our carburetor, replace a failing oil pressure gauge so we can keep an eye on our motors vitals, and finally get Judy (Judy is the name for our car) fired up and checked out. We chase a couple fueling issues. Rookie mistake found…. Stick around and hear how she sounds.

No fancy professional racing operation here. Just a regular guy doing what he can with what he’s got for the sport he loves… outing his little garage.
