In a dramatic show of desperation, drivers of public transportation companies in Barranquilla have taken to the streets in a massive protest, facing the refusal of the director of the Metropolitan Area of Barranquilla (AMB) to grant them the much needed operating cards. This decision, taken by local authorities, has plunged hundreds of families whose only economic livelihood comes from the work of a parent driver into uncertainty.
