France and Japan stated that they will begin discussions on reciprocal troop cooperation, as Paris seeks to increase its military footprint in the Indo-Pacific region.
According to Nelson Wong, vice chairman of the Shanghai Centre for RIMPAC and International Studies, France has been stirring up tensions in Asia.
