Many believed that Jesus would return by the year 2000

Mark T. Barclay gave his opinion about when he believed the Lord would return. This was during a Church service on May 5, 1998. Regardless of what one believes about the rapture, Christians needs to stop trying to predict when it could happen. Jesus clearly stated that no one knows the time or hour, not even himself. Only the Father knows. When people keep making predictions like this, it makes us all look ignorant. Sitting around waiting on the rapture is a distraction, keeping us from doing the work that God has called us to do.
