Happy Dog Dancing In The Snow

Our dog Luna loves when it snows! We suppose Luna is a Siberian Husky and Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix (HORGI).Show more

Her DNA test results are Siberian Husky and Boston Terrier mix. We don't think she is a Boston Terrier though.

Huskies come from Siberia. They were bred by a nomadic tribe called Chukchi. The huskies were used for transportation over the snow and also as pets, keeping the beds warms while sleeping with their owners.

Huskies have a double coat, but Luna, being a husky corgi mix, and maybe many other dog breeds, doesn't. If she stays still on a cold day, she starts shivering! However, she has lots of fun if she is running and playing and doesn't get cold, as long as she is moving.

Pembroke Welsh Corgis are descended from cattle dogs brought by the Vikings. They also have a double coat.

Huskies and corgis shed all year round, even more when there are climate changes. That makes them ready for the snow days, and they love it!

Luna surely does! She goes completely crazy with the snow!
