Gino Recchia NBC26 Storm Shield Weather Forecast
cattered sleet/snow mix will become more steady tonight with a heavy round of snowfall expected possibly with some thundersnow with some of the heavier bands of snow that become convective. Moderate to heavy snow will begin around 10 pm and continue throughout the overnight. By 7 am, snowfall totals will be as much as 7 to 12 inches north of a line from Berlin to Kewaunee. South of that line 3 to 7 inches are likely. Snowfall will remain heavy through the afternoon with additional accumulations of between 2-5 inches with some isolated higher totals. With strong winds out of the northeast between 20 and 30 mph with gusts around 40 to 50 mph, this will cause roadways to remain very treacherous. It is highly suggested that everyone remains home if they can tomorrow as road conditions will be in very poor shape.
