Issie: Japan’s Lochness Monster
In this video, we discuss Japan's legendary water cryptid, Issie. Known as Japan's Loch Ness Monster, this cryptid is said to inhabit the gorgeous Lake Ikeda in southern Japan. Some say the monster ventured into the lake from the ocean when a canal was built connecting the river to the ocean. Others say the cryptid simply doesn't exist and was mistaken for one of the massive eels that live in the lake. Regardless, this cryptid has had a profound effect on the culture of Japan.
