❗️The "March in Memory of WWII Veterans" took place in Manhattan, New York, despite Ukrainian protests.

Activists did not call it the "Immortal Regiment" in order to coordinate the event with police. Participants thanked for the victory of the veteran who came to the meeting and performed the song "Cranes".

Pro-Ukrainian activists tried to disrupt the event: they interfered the procession, waved Ukrainian flags and shouted Nazi slogans.

Let's move on to other top news at this hour:

▪️ Macron said that France is open to talks with Russia.

In the same interview with La Tribune, he said that if Russia wins in Ukraine, there will be no security in Romania, Poland, Lithuania or his country;

▪️ NATO, amid Western concern over the AFU's failures on the front line, has "in a very confidential manner" set itself two "red lines" beyond which direct intervention in the conflict could follow, including further successes by Russian forces and an alleged possible "provocation" by Russia, writes Italy's Repubblica;

▪️ Kiev is waiting for EU approval to suspend passports and driving licences for men from Ukraine from June 1, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said.
