As we get older, many people start to hate their birthdays. Maybe it is because they do not want to acknowledge the aging process. But little kids? They love birthdays. Birthdays are the best thing in the world for them. Second only to Christmas, really.

This little girl is so excited to be three-years-old! And she gets all the perks of it being her birthday…

Of course, getting presents, treats and all of the attention is always one way to fall in love with something. So, is it really any surprise that little kids absolutely love their birthdays? I would, and do, love that too. Most American’s know about Sweet Sixteens and Quinceaneras. But here are few other interesting birthday traditions from around the world. In Indea and Nepal, babies have their heads haved on their 1st birthday to symbolize a renewal of the soul and cleanse them of evil from past lives. In the Phillipines, they have a debut party for girls on their 18th birthday and boys on their 21st.

Including a giant birthday cake! Which she is way TOO excited for. No, don’t grab it like that!

The little girl in the video runs into the kitchen and grabs her boxed up birthday cake. Unfortunately, her hold is wrong and the cake flips out of the box and smashes on the floor. Before we go, here are a couple of other traditions from around the world. In Ghana, children get a special breakfast meal called an oto; a patty made of mashed sweet potato and eggs fried in palm oil. In countries that follow the zodiac calendar, there is big celebration for people on their 60th birthdays.
