Types of verbs

A verb is a word in a sentence that describes an action or state of being.
There are two main types of verbs:
1. Lexical verbs
2. Auxiliary verbs

Lexical verbs are divided into five types:
a). Active verbs
b). Stative verbs
c). Tansitive verbs
d). Intransitive verbs
e). Linking verbs

Auxiliary verbs are divided into two types:
a). Primary auxiliaries
b). Modal auxiliaries
