Storm Shield Forecast morning update 4/13/18

The winds died down early this morning as high pressure is building over the Pacific, bringing us a return to sunny and stable weather today. As a result we are clearing but staying very cold, with highs around the freezing mark for the south mountains this morning and jus the 40s on the valley floor. We'll warm up nicely today with a high of 72 in Bakersfield, close to our average of 74 for this time of year. The Kern River Valley will top out in the mid-60s today while the south mountains get to the upper 50s.
