Pals who both broke backs after falling from rope swing needed seven emergency service units

Two pals who broke both their backs after falling 20ft from a rope swing have defended the need to send SEVEN emergency service vehicles to help them.

Josh Davidson, 19, and Kai Belk, 20, had been simultaneously swinging from a piece of rope in a secluded area of woodland.

But the rope snapped under their weight and they fell into a shallow beck below - landing on jagged rocks in the river bed.
