This complex and powerful storm system is going to affect us with two, main rounds of precipitation with the second being the one with the heaviest of the snow on Saturday night through Sunday. Rain or even a few rumbles of thunder will be affecting most of us through the day today with highs close to 40.  A wintry mix is possible across the north. It'll be raw with windy conditions coming right off of Lake Michigan. This precipitation continues into tonight with things changing to snow, freezing rain & sleet. There could be 1-3" of snow accumulation in spots by the morning, especially north. Saturday, there will still be a mix of freezing rain, sleet & snow, but you'll notice that this won't be as heavy of an event. Anything that will be falling will be melting a little on the pavement with the strong April sunshine, even behind the clouds. It will also very windy with NE wind gusts over 45 mph likely.  Some Lakeshore flooding is possible along the bay.  Highs will struggle to make it above freezing, but again, with the April sun, we'll be doing some melting out there. The mix changes to pretty much all snow on Saturday night and will start to ramp back up as the night goes on. By the time you wake up, we should have 1-3" of snow on the ground with less south and more north. Lows will be in the upper-20s. It looks like this will be all snow through the day on Sunday.  The snow will fall heavily at times. It'll also be windy, so blowing and drifting snow could be an issue.  Another 4-6" will fall through the day, with even more to the north, but a little less south. This will taper off through the night Sunday night. Totals after this second round will be 5-9", though 9-13" around and north of Highway 29, though 3-5" well off to the south. Highs will be right around the freezing mark. We could see a few snow showers or flurries on Monday, but the event will be over.. It'll still be windy with highs in the upper-30s. Just be aware if you have travel plans, especially north on Friday, then Saturday night/Sunday for the whole state, that could be a problem. We'll keep you updated as the latest data rolls in.
