Trauma

It’s very true that we need to confront our fears in order to be free and overcome them. If you have had past and even have present trauma in your life and perhaps have PTSD or CPTSD as a consequence, then overcoming your trauma should come first and foremost before coming out of your comfort zone. If you challenge yourself before you are ready and still have hidden trauma to deal with, then this will only complicate matters and could actually increase your trauma making it worse. Don’t allow other people to tell you when to come out of your comfort zone. Only you can decide this. Other people cannot decide this for you. Only you know when the time is right for you. If you listen to others and act before you are ready, then this is people pleasing. Be responsible for yourself, put yourself first and do what is right for you. If and when you feel ready to challenge yourself then it is your decision. Do not allow other people to make decisions for you.
