BOEING SUPPLIER SUES TO STOP SAFETY INVESTIGATION.

Spirit AeroSystems is trying to block a probe by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, saying his demand for internal documents “relevant to manufacturing defects in their products” is unreasonable and unlawful.

Spirit claims he has no jurisdiction to investigate them since they don’t “manufacture any part, in Kansas, Texas, or elsewhere, that allegedly failed in incidents involving Boeing 737 aircraft.”

Coincidentally, they filed the lawsuit against Paxton the day after a whistleblower who accused them of ignoring safety flaws died from a sudden illness.

A second Boeing whistleblower, Joshua Dean, has died after a sudden illness at the age of 45, almost two months after another whistleblower, John Barnett, appeared to commit suicide.

Dean was fired from his job as a quality auditor at Spirit AeroSystems, the company that manufactured door plugs that blew out midair on an Alaskan Airlines flight, after he accused them of ignoring safety flaws.

In February, he spoke about being fired, “I think they were sending out a message to anybody else. If you are too loud, we will silence you.”
