A study shows that almost 47 migrant children a day have gone missing in Europe since 2021.
More than 50,000 migrant children have gone missing in Europe in the past three years. Data requested from 31 European countries, including Austria, Germany and Italy, shows that between 2021 and the end of 2023, at least 51,433 refugee minors were reported missing. The actual figure may be higher due to insufficient documentation of cases, some countries do not collect data on these children at all.
