Storm Shield Forecast morning update 4/12/18

We are waking up to a quick hit of early morning rain that is turning to snow down to about 5,000 feet this morning. The winds will be howling through the county all day, with a High Wind Warning for the mountains and desert until 11 p.m. tonight but you won't really notice the winds dying down until about 2 a.m. tomorrow morning. As a result we will see gusts to 40+ mph in the valley, 60+ mph through the mountain passes and 80+ mph over the mountain peaks and down into the desert.
