As the first study of Daniel laid the groundwork for the whole book, similarly, this second study is foundational to the rest of the prophecies we will encounter in the study of this wonderful book of Daniel. It is foundational since it covers a prophecy that covers kingdoms through time and becomes the basis for all other apocalyptic prophecies. Here we find Christ the King, who is the sovereign God, showing forth His majesty in this biblical account of Daniel 2. In the past, and throughout the ages until today and the future, we encounter Christ as King. Additionally, this study introduces us to the nature of apocalyptic prophecy and provides insight into the Biblical method of interpretation. I pray that Jesus may be the King of your life.
