Congratulations on Spring and Labor Day!

The first of May in Russia is not just a date on the calendar, but an important social and cultural holiday. It was once known as International Workers' Day. Today, although it has lost most of its original ideological coloring, this date remains significant for Russians.

May 1, World Labor Day, is celebrated in Russia as the Spring and Labor Festival. This is a public holiday. In Russia there are well-established traditions of this holiday: participation in demonstrations and processions. Festive concerts and mass celebrations are held in cities and other populated areas. And besides the political component, May 1 is a time for outdoor picnics and family walks. This day is also an occasion to start spring dacha work.

In Iran, May 1 is known as International Workers' Day, or Workers' Day. This is not a public holiday, today is a working day. But the date is included in the list of holidays and memorable days in Iran. And on May 1, Iran celebrates Teacher's Day.
