Imports as Immigrants or Expats 🇳🇮

The other day we mentioned the importance of paying import duties on products being imported into Nicaragua (or anywhere.) But some people were offended at the thought of having to shoulder their fair share of taxes and to be treated the same as local businesses. Some even thought that their mere presence should be cause for delight, even if they didn't pay their bills. So today I want to talk about how imports and taxes work when you are an expat... also knows as an immigrant, and why, while it might emotionally feel like you shouldn't need to pay taxes, it would be wildly unfair if you didn't.
