The unknown story of Greek philosopher Plato's deathmay have been unveiled from a newly decipheredancient scroll, according to Italian researchers.

The Herculaneum papyrus scrolls were charred afterbeing buried under layers of volcanic ash following theeruption of Mount Vesuvius.

The volcano erupted in 79 AD, killing thousands anddestroying Roman settlements near modern-day Naples.

The scrolls continue to be examined by experts using artificial intelligence.
