U.S. Pledges to Completely Ban Coal

Early this week, all G7 nations agreed to shut down their coal plants by 2035 at the latest. This includes the United States, which still operates more than 200 coal-fired power plants. It does not, however, include China and India, which are standing up new coal plants faster than the West is shutting theirs down.
