Combat work of attack drone operators of the Southern group of forces
Units of the Southern group of troops in the Donetsk direction of the special military operation are actively using attack unmanned aerial vehicles to destroy military equipment and destroy Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel in open areas and in shelters located in forest plantations and abandoned settlements.
When performing combat work, a crew consisting of a UAV operator and an assistant moves to a given area, from where it launches the drone. The operator determines the target that needs to be destroyed, and his assistant prepares ammunition with striking elements, ensures its attachment to the drone, launches the FPV drone, and also tracks the flight direction on the map, orients and corrects the operator’s work.
During aerial reconnaissance, the position of enemy UAV operators was revealed, as well as equipment and an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces hidden in a forest plantation. The FPV drone crews of the 1st Army Corps unmanned aircraft units accurately hit and destroyed the identified targets with several strikes.
After completing the combat mission, the UAV crews began changing their starting positions to avoid detection by the enemy.
