Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a self-help technique that involves tapping on the end points of energy meridians located around the face & body. EFT Tapping is used in order to reduce tension, calm the nervous system, and connect the mind & emotional body. Effective in managing anxiety, depression and stress as this tapping will release negative/toxic energy to come up and out of the body. As well as calm & relax you when you are in a negative emotional state.

Tapping on the meridian end points on the face & body sends a calming signal to the Amygdalae in the brain which is the fight or flight response letting your body know that everything is ok.

The amygdala is a paired structure inside your temporal lobe. It is involved in the processing and expression of emotions, a key part of emotional control and processes. It also plays a role in memory and learning.

It doesn’t matter which hand you use to tap with or which side of the face or body you are tapping on. Do what feels comfortable for you.
