Drawing a Tree with Charcoal || Maple Tree Tutorial

I'm drawing a maple tree with charcoal in this plein air drawing tutorial. I made a kind of a remake of an old maple tree drawing and got to demonstrate to you how I draw a tree with charcoal at the same time.

There are obviously also classes on drawing with charcoal and drawing or painting trees, if you want to continue learning about them.

I used my charcoal sticks, paper pad and kneaded eraser from the Crelando charcoal set as well as a fixative to prevent the drawing from smudging. I started out by sketching with a thin charcoal stick and used a thicker one for shading. I blended with a tissue paper. I used the kneaded eraser to bring in some highlights in the foliage and the tree bark and I cleaned up some areas I wanted to keep white.
