There will be a break in the action on Thursday with highs in mainly in the 40s, though becoming cooler near Lake Michigan. There will be a chance of rain showers late Thursday night with lows in the mid-30s. Rain rolls in for Friday for most of us through the day with highs in the low-40s. A wintry mix is possible across the north. It'll be raw with windy conditions coming right off of Lake Michigan. A major winter storm will roll through during the weekend. This storm will bring snow, sleet, freezing rain & rain. It will be mainly rain on Friday, a mix or snow on Saturday with heavy snow on Sunday. It's too early to give exact accumulations....but a substantial amount is snow is possible.....more than enough to shovel or plow. Just be aware if you have travel plans, especially north on Friday, then Saturday/Sunday for the whole state, that could be a problem. We'll keep you updated as the latest data rolls in.
