Social media users circulated a video saying that Israeli forces raided the offices of the Hadash Party and the Communist Party of Israel (CPI) in the town of Nazareth on 26 April, a day before a scheduled march opposing the Israeli war on Gaza.
Armed police officers reportedly conducted the raid on the eve of the May Day Protests for the Israeli left-wing party and arrested two activists who were preparing displays and flags, as per the In Defense of Communism website.

In response, Hadash Member of Knesset Ofer Cassif stated, “We won’t let the fascists silence us!" and called for participation in the protest against "the criminal massacre in Gaza, the ethnic cleansing of the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, the rising tide of fascism, and in support of justice for all, before it’s too late," as he wrote on his X, formerly known as Twitter, account.

The march took place on Saturday on Tawfiq Zyad Street in the city centre, coinciding with International Workers’ Solidarity Day and denouncing the Israeli war on Gaza.
