Erasing Parental Consent

Children as young as 14 years old in Hawaii can already access and consent to many medical services including STI treatments and abortion without the consent of a parent or guardian. This is much to my chagrin and against what I voted for in 2023. SB 3125 would expand accessible care to include preventative STI treatments.

The bill has already passed the House and Senate and is awaiting the governor’s signature. Please contact Governor Josh Green by calling his office (808)-586-0034 and/or letting him know you do not want him to sign this bill into law.
