The Bichon Frise is a breed of dogs with smaller stature and curly hair. It derives from French and it literally means curly lap dog. This breed is a part of the Bichon breed of dogs which were bred to be faithful and playful companions. They were very famous among the French Court, known for being very pampered. The French language even has a verb for pampering deriving from this breed of dogs - bichonner. The life expectancy of these pups is 15 years.
