Jesus' Last Days Splitting of the Mount of Olives (Zech 14:1-4) - Bob Cruickshank (2024 Conference)

Zechariah uses the imagery of a splitting mountain to paint a picture of the severing effect that Jesus's words would have on all those who heard. The northward and southward movement of the splitting mountain draws on the historical significance of these directional points in the mind of an ancient Israelite—the difference between covenant loyalty and spiritual apostacy.
