Messiah's Praiseworthy Women - Episode 1 - Meeting David's Wife Abigail

Headship authority is a provision God intended all His daughters to have. Good headship protects, strengthens, and empowers women of God to walk in Yahweh's will for their lives. Instead of being limited to our individual mortal selves, it makes it possible for us to have the biggest, maximum impact for Yahweh and His Kingdom that we can possibly have. Why else would the enemy attack this so much? Our enemy knows the truth. Unified families, acting in Holy Order, according to Yahweh's will, under His Covenant with Israel, is the key to going beyond defending against the enemy, and actually being able to take ground away from, and defeat the enemy entirely. Combined with the Tribal Order of Israel under Yeshua Messiah, it's what will build the Remnant of Israel back together when done according to Yah's direction and in His Ways. (Ask God about Malachi 4:6) (Rev 7 or Rev 21)

That Holy Order arguably starts with the relationship of a woman to her Spiritual Head, and both accepting the authority given to him by God Himself. But what does it mean for us women to accept that authority, and how does one navigate situations where one's husband/head is less than perfect? Does that constitute a "good reason" to reject his authority or do we need to be careful to uphold Yahweh's authority in him, while still doing God's will? If our husband/spiritual head sins, should we join in that sin with him because he's the leader? Real life can get messy and the answers may not always be simple or easy. We need to study God's Word, listen to good Bible Teaching from His anointed teachers, work things out with our spiritual heads, and perhaps most importantly ask Yeshua Messiah these kinds of questions in our prayers.

We need His answers to these things. So no one can tell us "Oh, well you think that about this headship stuff because you're brainwashed by your spiritual head." No, my Head says this too, but Yeshua Messiah told me Himself through His Holy Spirit and in His Word. Just because the women of God submit to His authority in others doesn't mean they're passive.

A good example of an Israelite woman who isn't passive, but still respected Yahweh's authority in His men, is David's wife Abigail the Carmelitess. Even though David in a moment of anger was close to committing a grave error, she responds in a way that's filled with respect for the authority God gave him. She encourages him to look to Yahweh without being manipulative or controlling about it. She doesn't throw him away as a man because his emotions got a little more out of hand than usual. Instead, she recognizes that God is building him up into the man He wants David to be, and co-operates with what God is doing in how she behaves and deals with him. There's a lot we can learn, from her meeting with David, about how to treat our head with a Godly attitude. Join us at 8pm Central time as we discuss these concepts in 1st Samuel 25 and we hope it inspires you to seek out Yahweh and Yahweh's authority in your life.
