Opening a DC Series 3 Hybrid NFT Trading Card Box | What are these?? A game? collectible?

I've been wondering forever now what these cards are, and unfortunately, even after opening this set, I still don't understand.

First off, NFT's are stupid, and these have NFT in their name sooo ? Second, there is a QR code to scan, but what is it for? To build a digital collection? To play an on-line game? I don't get this!

They're ok looking, good quality and all, but I can see why they're failed. Also, the pricing on these has never been too appealing -- they've always been about $10 too much, and now that I see them, I'd say maybe even $15 too much.
