Let the Lord Set a Man (Honor and Obedience)

Text: Numbers 27:12-23

Objective: that the brethren know how to obey and honor legitimate leadership

Intro:
Define – set, leadership, servant, spirit

Things that makes an organization achieve its goal:
1. Ultimate Leadership comes from God – v.16
a. Spirit of the Lord guides the spirit that is in man
b. It is the Lord that set’s up the leadership
2. Leadership considers the members’ equal rights – vv. 1-11
a. Daughters of Zelophehad – need also to speak up for themselves
3. Justice is being served – v. 14 - punishment of Moses
4. Leaders have a clear vision of the goal – v.12
a. Long term
b. short term - obey
5. Leaders ask the Lord for direction – vv. 15-16
6. Leadership have honor – v.20
7. They work as a team, and perform and abide in their roles – vv. 19,21,23

Let us know how to obey and honor legitimate leadership
