Today we conclude the Book of Second Kings, and read about the last of the kings in Judah. From Josiah, who was very righteous and cleaned up Jerusalem for the Lord, to his sons, who each did evil, ending with Zedekiah. Jerusalem’s walls were broken down and the temple and city destroyed, fulfilling prophecy. The inhabitants were taken into captivity in Babylon. So, here begins hundreds of years of bondage, because the people decided to abandon God, and he left them to their ways. But there was another King coming… a King of kings. Let’s read!
