Drunk Man Calls 911 for Help & Instantly Regrets It
On the 26th of March, 2024, at approximately 02:51 hours, officers responded to a reported battery incident at the corner of Truman Ave and Windsor Ln. The reporting party, operating an orange motorized scooter, informed officers of a physical altercation with another individual, resulting in property damage and injuries.
Upon arrival, officers observed the reporting party with visible injuries consistent with a physical altercation. The reporting party appeared agitated and exhibited signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, glassy eyes, and the smell of alcohol on their breath.
The reporting party provided conflicting information regarding the location and circumstances of the altercation, initially mentioning a non-existent establishment and later changing the location to a different venue. Despite attempts to clarify the details of the incident, the reporting party became increasingly uncooperative and agitated.
Due to the reporting party's behavior, physical appearance, and the odor of alcohol, officers suspected the individual to be impaired by alcohol or another substance. The reporting party was detained for further investigation and safety reasons.
Following a search of the individual's person, they were placed in the patrol car for transport to the detention center. At the center, the individual admitted to consuming alcohol and operating the scooter while intoxicated.
A certified Breath Test Operator requested the individual to consent to a breathalyzer test, which was refused. The individual was issued citations for driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a DUI test, and refusal to sign and accept citations. A court date was assigned for the individual's appearance. Stay tuned to witness the tense situations unfold and see how law enforcement handles the delicate situations.
