I am TOP KIZ, also known as the Kizomba King. My dance style is sensual, passionate, wild, and dominant, promoting a deeper connection in a fun, artistic way. I began my journey as a Kizomba baby in Lisbon, Portugal, born to Cape Verdean parents, and evolved into the Kizomba King in Boston, MA USA, experiencing Kizomba's journey across various stages and in different countries.

My mission is clear: to help couples discover a deeper connection through the power of Kizomba. While I embrace the new fusion, I also emphasize honoring the core principles and steps of Kizomba, out of respect for our ancestors, such as the popular "1-2 Step" aka "Um Dois."

How did I earn the title of Kizomba King? First out of pure passion and dedication to the Kizomba Kingdom. However, if you also explore my online content, you'll discover I hold the record as the male Kizomba dancer with the most followers and engagement globally as well. The people have spoken! And I did that in 1 year! Yet I believe we can all be Kings in our own unique way, but if you want to challenge the King, go ahead. Just know if you lose, I will take your pride, your country, your coffee and your woman. Or we can just enjoy each other's company and drink to our mutual success.

I love Kizomba, and the rhythm of Kizomba pulses through my veins daily. My dance style may not be for everyone, but authenticity matters more to me than competition or approval from others. In fact, chances are, you will never see me competing with other dancers unless I must do so to save the kingdom. I wake up and compete with myself daily; that's all the competition I focus on and desire.

Last but not least, as the Kizomba King, I'm not satisfied to merely observe from my throne. You're likely to find me on the dance floor, enjoying the music and sharing the joy of dance with everyone.
